Built in 1894, the Monarch Tavern has been a centerpiece of Fountain Cities history. With its turn-of-the-century charm, the historic tavern and restaurant boast the original hand carved oak back bar, ornate pressed tin ceilings and 100 year old tables and chairs. The cellar that was once a storage area has been converted to a party room called The Absolute Rock Bottom Pub. The Pub houses The Fountain City Brewing Company with its specialty beers. The restaurant features menu items from soups and salads to Irish specialties and pizza.
