Monroe

Monroe is located in Green County (of which it is the county seat), between Janesville and Gratiot along Highway 11 near Browntown, Brodhead, and Browntown-Cadiz Springs Rec Area. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 10,762, an increase of 521 since 1990.
