Four miles northeast of the village of Cornucopia lie the The Squaw Bay Sea Caves. Centuries of wave action have carved intricate caves into the sandstone cliffs of the Apostle Islands shoreline. Come and view the delicate arches, vaulted chambers, and hidden passageways.
During the summer, the sea caves are only accessible by boat. In winter, for those brave enough, a walk on the frozen lake will take you to one of the finest formations you will find.
For those hikers who make the trip, they will find frozen waterfalls and chambers filled with thousands of delicate icicles.
