Washburn

Washburn is located in Bayfield County (of which it is the county seat) on Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior along Hwy 13 near Ashland, Bayfield, and Chequamegon National Forest. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,333, an increase of 48 since 1990.
