The Cable Natural History Museum's collections are representative of the natural history and biological diversity of the upper Midwest. The selection includes taxidermy mounts of birds and mammals, preserved, dried and taxidermy fish, reptiles and amphibians, animal skulls and skins, mounted and preserved insects, a herbarium, plaster casts of animal tracks, and bird nests. It provides environmental education and offers special programs for school-aged children. It can accommodate groups for indoor and outdoor activities.
