Builth Wells

Known originally as just Builth, the town was the site of a castle, strengthened by Edward I. The town developed rapidly in the 19th century as a spa, to which people from all over Britain came to "take the waters." Although past its heydey as a spa, Builth Wells remains an important market town for its district and an intriguing destination for a visitor.
