Cardigan

Cardigan is a seaport and the capital of Cardiganshire. It is situated on the River Teifi about three miles above its mouth on Cardigan Bay. Cardigan is 75 miles northwest of Cardiff. There is a ruined 12th-century castle built by Henry II. Before the use of steamships, Cardigan was an important river port.
