Forest Farm Country Park is situated on the north west side of
Cardiff, South Wales and contains Forest Farm nature reserve. It lies between Whitchurch and Radyr and is bounded be the River Taff, the Glamorganshire Canal and the M4 Motorway. Forest Farm can be reached easily by road and rail, being a five minute drive from the M4 and Radyr railway station is a pleasant walk across a footbridge spanning the river Taff. It has many forms of wildlife including, heron, kingfishers, moor hens and mallard ducks and many varieties of dragon flies. Horses and cows can be found in the fields and wild orchids grow in parts of the park. A wetlands area has been established with two birds hides. A bird watchers group is well established. The farm has many walks and sign posted paths including walks alongside the river and canal banks.
