Kanawha Hospice Care is a non-profit agency serving 10 counties in West Virginia. It services Boone, Clay, Fayette, Lincoln, Mason, Nicholas, Putnam, Roane, Jackson, and Kanawha counties. Founded in 1979, Kanawha Hospice Care has grown from an all volunteer staff to more than 80 paid professionals and over 250 active volunteers. In 1997, the agency served 744 terminally ill patients and their families.
