Eastern Panhandle

Connected to the rest of West Virginia by a narrow gap, the Eastern Panhandle has many of the oldest towns in the state. It is dotted with quaint townships nestled in undulating hills, but near enough to metropolitan areas so as to not be isolated for comforts and culture. Its heritage has been enriched by its often tumultuous history, from the Colonial Days and American Revolution, on up to the Civil War.
