Lake Cameahwait is more recognized for its nickname, Bass Lake. There are 7 well known species of fish in this lake and they include trout, bass, perch, ling, bluegill, green sunfish and crappie. Fishing is allowed all year round with a proper Wyoming State fishing license. Primitive camping is allowed with accessible restrooms, a boat ramp, and picnic shelters. Lake Cameahwait is located in Central Wyoming, off U.S. 26, 15 miles west of Shoshoni.
