Mammoth Hot Springs

Near the northern park entrance to Yellowstone National Park, the springs are individualized by terrace-like formations made by limestone deposits. Visitors are advised to remain on the well-marked trails that allow safe viewing at the closest range possible. In many places the thin crust is dangerous.
