Alaska Range

The Alaska Range extends for about 400 miles in south central Alaska, separating the coastal regions from the tundra prairies of the interior.

The range is icy, with extensive glaciers and ice-covered slopes and summits.

The range includes Mount McKinley in Denali National Park and Preserve. Mt. Foraker is also in the Alaska Range.
