Coffman Cove is located in P. of Wales-Outer Ketchikan Census Area on Prince of Wales Island. Coffman Cove is a village of 254 residents. It was once one of the largest independent logging camps in Southeast Alaska. Canoe Lagoon Oyster Co. is the state's oldest and largest producer.

There is good fresh and saltwater fishing. Hunting for bear and deer also is popular. Kayak hundreds of miles of isolated and protected shoreline. Canoe the famous Honker Divide Canoe Trail. Go bird watching or whale watching. Sample world-famous Coffman Cove oysters. Picnic and swim at Sweetwater or Luck Lake. Visit such local towns as Craig and Thorne Bay. Be sure to explore El Capitan Caves.

Coffman Cove is an invaluable archaeological site. Tlingit house remains have been discovered, as well as human burials.
