Bettles Lodge is a designated National Historic Site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It contains a restaurant, gift shop, and tavern. The main lodge contains six rooms with two central baths. Aurora Lodge has eight rooms with private Jacuzzi. Aviation fuel and aircraft parking facility are also available.
Bettles Air provides wilderness transportation throughout the Brooks Range and Gates of the Arctic National Park. Hiking, backpacking, fishing, river floats, and winter adventures are specialities. The Noatak National Preserve, and Kobuk Valley National Park are other local attractions.
