This station sits on an 8,500 acre reservation, northeast of Fairbanks. The facility tracks and commands multiple polar, orbiting environmental satellites. Tours are available June to August and by appointment other times.
At the same location is the Gilmore Creek Geophysical Observatory, a major NOAA data collection facility.
