Alabaster

Taking advantage of being in the Birmingham, Alabama metro area, the city provides a excellent variety of 5 different parks. Walking trails, ball fields and playgrounds scatter the area of the parks for the publics delight.

Alabaster is established in the area of Shelby County (Central Region) along Highway 119, placed between Birmingham and Clanton. The area gives the city a small town feel with a large town, Birmingham nearby.
The city started off as not a city at all. After the Revolutionary War many of the people in battle decided to come to this area. With more people arriving every day, a petition was filed on February 23 1953, which it was officially incorporated as a city of Alabama.
