In the middle of Choctaw County (Central Region), between Chatom and York on Highway 17, Butler has many things to offer such as the Choctaw County Public Library, the Choctaw County High School, the Choctaw County Airport, and the Choctaw Country Club.

The public library offers a great amount of information for anyone looking to find information for school or just want something to read. The library also offers materials for the students attending the high school. Students may visit the library for all the information they will need for all of their classes.
The county airport provides residents and visitors alike the opportunity to commute easily to wherever they may need to travel. The visitors to the area may enjoy their stay in the many motels and hotels in the area and enjoy their nightlife at the Choctaw Country Club.
