The Carlen House, a nineteenth century Creole Cottage with an architectural style created along Mobiles Gulf Coast, was the home of Michael and Mary Carlen and their 12 children. This immigrant Irish family's home tells of the life of a farmhouse of the nineteenth century. As you walk through this house museum, you can view antique period furnishings, the Carlen Family Bible, kitchen utensils, candle making equipment, a cigar machine, and changing exhibits.
