Gilbertown

Near the Choctaw National Wildlife Refuge, Gilbertown is home to many local tributes to the past and present.


The city takes pride in the Choctaw County Historical Museum where much history about the city may be found.
Another main part of the city is the Alabama Southern Community College where they take pride in the higher education standards of the school.
The city is located in Choctaw County (Central Region), 25 miles S of Butler along Highway 17.
There are many accommodations when visiting the area including the local hotel, Water Valley Lodges.
