Baptist DeKalb in Fort Payne, Alabama was Baptist Health System's first venture outside of Birmingham. The 134-bed hospital has been an affiliate of BHS, Alabama's largest and most comprehensive health system, since 1978, and became a Baptist Medical Center facility in 1986.
