Oakville is located in Lawrence County (North Region), southwest of Decatur on Highway 61 near Moulton.


The local attractions are the Jesse Owens Memorial Park & Museum, William B Bankhead National Forest south, and near the Wheeler Lake. The Wheeler Lake is an excellent place to spend the day fishing or boating with local shops nearby for all water needs.
