The Huntsville Canoe Club offers self-propelled craft-canoes, kayaks, and sit-on-tops-on a variety types of water. It's regular activities include monthly meetings, an annual swap meet, participation in the Flint River clean-up, support for the mulberry canoe and kayak races, spring pool sessions for roll practice, safety and trip leadership training. Roll sessions are held at a local indoor swimming pool during the spring for rolling skills, Safety instruction is held during the summer for self-rescue technique practice, and ACA-sanctioned canoe and kayak moving water classes are held each year.
