Heber Springs is located in Cleburne County
(of which it is the county seat) west of Newport
between Tumbling Shoals and Pearson along Hwy 25 on the banks of the Little Red River near Greer's Ferry Lake and Dam.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 6,543, an increase of 915 since 1990.
