This is an interdenominational and co-educational Christian college, founded in 1919. John Brown University offers undergraduate and graduate studies as well as an honors program and a degree completion program. Masters programs in Counseling and Business Leadership & Ethics are offered. Current enrollment is about 1500 students.

The campus is located about 45 minutes from Fayetteville and 1 1/2 hours from Tulsa, with access via I244 & Hwy 412. The university's main entrance is located on Holly Street.
