Arkansas Children's Hospital, a private, non-profit institution, is the only health care facility in Arkansas dedicated exclusively to children and is one of the ten largest in the nation. Comprehensive, high-quality medical care is offered to children from birth to age 21. Parents bring their children to Arkansas Children's Hospital from every county in Arkansas, from surrounding states and from around the world. Care is offered to every child, regardless of a family's inability to pay. Arkansas Children's Hospital has a medical staff of over 400, and through a partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, is the site of pediatric training for medical and nursing students, post-doctoral residents and paramedical professionals. From its humble beginnings as a Children's Home Finding Society in 1912, to the major pediatric medical center it has become today, one thing remains the same -- Arkansas Children's Hospital cares about children.
