Norfork

Norfork is located in Baxter County north of Batesville between Mountain Home and Calico Rock, off of Hwy 5. Also situated on the banks of the White River at the northwest edge of the Ozark National Forest.

Norfork's most famous landmark is the Wolf House, now the property of Baxter County, which has just undergone a major historic restoration. Norfork's bridge over the White River is also on the Register, as is a local bed and breakfast.

Fishing is a very important aspect when it comes to life in this picturesque community. Whether it's fly fishing from the handicapped walk-in access area on the North Fork or floating either (or both!) rivers with a first-class guide, be prepared for some fishing action.

Top Employers in the Norfork include: Norfork Schools, Everett Sawmill, Rose's Trout Dock, Norfork Trout Dock, City of Norfork and Woodsman's Sport Shop.

This area is also home to the nation's first wilderness river, the Buffalo National River.
