Yavapai County Library District, serving an area of 168,000 residents, has a collection of 460,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 16,100 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 18,000 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public.

Staffing consists of 78 employees, of whom 15 are fully accredited librarians, plus volunteers. The system comprises18 branch libraries. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $540,000. Patrons make 780,000 visits annually, and check out materials 1,890,000 times. Twenty-two percent of all check-outs are children's materials.

Arizona Exposition & State Fair Phoenix AZ October11-November3 The Arizona Expo and State Fair is held every year. Events include the All-Indian Rodeo, motorized events, animal displays and competition, cooking contests, youth activities, and competitive entries. There is also an annual concert schedule that is announced prior to the fair. Exhibition buildings and grounds include the Agriculture Center, Arizona Plaza Building, Avenue of Flags, Cattle Barns, Exhibit Building, Grandstand-Arena, Hacienda Home Arts Center, Wesley Bolin Building, and the Party Gras.
