The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden is a rich sensory experience in every season.Representative of a Chinese garden from the Ming Dynasty, the Yat-Sat Garden offers tours, horticultural displays, musical performances, poetry readings, school programs, and Chinese Festivals.
Operated by the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden Society of Vancouver, the society attempts to bridge the gap between China and Canada by offering an opportunity for greater understanding of Chinese culture and strengthening the bonds of both governments.
Located behind white-washed walls at the corner of Carrall and Keefer streets in Vancouver, the garden is "a tranquil oasis filled with symbolic subtleties," according to the New York Times.
They offer daily tours, complimentary tea, and a unique gift shop that offers jewelery, lanterns, silk scarves, and other arts and crafts from Asia as well as ceramics by Chinese artists.
