Morton Lake Provincial Park

Search Parksville British Columbia

Fronting on both Mohun and Morton Lakes, this small park is located in the Sayward Forest northwest of Campbell River. Access is via Mohun Lake east from the private Menzies Bay logging road. The forest around the lakes, destroyed by the Great Campbell River Fire of 1938, was planted with Douglas fir, while hemlock, cedar and white pine have regenerated naturally. Visitors can fish, boat or canoe, enjoy a walk to Andrew Lake or swim in shallow and sandy Morton Lake. This is just one of hundreds of British Columbia Provincial Parks.
