Autoworld

Search Brussels

Autoworld is a museum with over three hundred motor vehicles from all over the world on display, in a single cavernous showroom. The history of automobile engineering and manufacturing is traced from its earliest days through the 1960s. Of particular note are the rare Belgian models -- Belgian car manufacturers were all gone by 1950, having succumbed to intense international competition (though foreign-owned automobile manufacturing plants continue to thrive up to the present). The vehicles are drawn almost exclusively from two private collections: the autos from the 950 piece collection of Ghislain Mahy, and the motorbikes from the collection of Thiry Marcel.

Autoworld takes up one wing of the Palace in the Park of the Fiftieth Anniversary.
