The Castle of Anvaing was built in 1840. It is not open for tours, but has beautiful gardens, and there is an annual open-air stage performance and celebration each August, the Theatre au Chateau".
The surrender of the Belgian armed forces to the invading Nazis was signed at the Chateau dAnvaing in 1940.
