The Curtius Museum is housed in the Curtius Palace, a Mosane-style rennaisance chateau dating from 1600. It has a varied collection: archaeological objects from the Prehistoric, Roman, and Frankish periods; decorative ceramics; currencies, seals, and medals of old Liege, prior to the formation of the Belgian nation; Mosane artwork from the middle ages.

The Curtius Palace is also home to a second museum, the Museum of Glass.
