The collections of the Museum of the Fiftieth Anniversary are divided are divided into four areas of emphasis: antiquity, non-European civilization, Belgian national archaeology, and European decorative arts. It is part of the Park of the Fiftieth Anniversary, established on the initiative of King Leopold II to celebrate 50 years of Belgian independence. Highlights include art nouveau furniture by Victor Horta and exquisite examples of antique Belgian lace.
