25 km southwest of Liege, the Ardennes American Cemetery at Neuville-en-Condroz spreads out over 90 acres, holding the graves of 5,319 American servicemen. Most died during the Battle of the Bulge, December 1944 - January 1945. The graves are arranged in a Greek Cross, centering upon a large rectangular monument which holds a chapel and a map of the battlefield.
