Founded in 1872, Santa Barbara Yacht Club is the oldest yacht club in Southern California and the second oldest in the state of California. The club sponsors a year round racing program. Besides its Championship Series which includes the spring, fall, and holiday regattas, there are many other events throughout the year including Semana Nautica, the Hot Rum Series, and several Regattas specifically designed to support and encourage women’s racing. The club also sponsors monthly cruises either to Santa Cruz Island or to other nearby harbors.
