Davenport Beach

Search Davenport California

This beautiful beach is surrounded by high bluffs and cliff trails. Leashes are required for pets. To get to the beach from Santa Cruz, head north on Highway 1 for about 10 miles. This beach is the original site of Davenport, once a thriving whaling town. The beach is strictly a day-use beach, and it is generally less crowded than many of the north-coast beaches and is a favorite for windsurfers.

Davenport Beach is open from sunrise to sunset.
