Glendora is located in Los Angeles County. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 49,811, an increase of 1,979 since 1990.

Glendora is nestled at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, in the eastern portion of Greater Los Angeles. Located approximately 27 miles from downtown Los Angeles, Glendora offers convenient access to major commercial, cultural, educational and recreational areas in Southern California. Founded in 1887, Glendora was officially incorporated as a City in 1911.
