Situated on a 2000-acre portion of the Cowell Ranch overlooking Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz, the campus is situated amidst redwoods and meadows connecting eight residential colleges.

Agroecology Program Farm is a 25-acre teaching and research facility. The organic farm supports vegetable crops, flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. You can reach the farm via a footpath from Coolidge Drive. Free. Phone 408-459-4140.

The Arboretum supports many rare plants not otherwise seen in American botanical gardens. Hummingbirds and butterflies frequent the grounds. Free admission. 408-427-2998.
