Monarch is known for its light and fluffy snow, and since it is astride the continental divide it catches a great amount of the winter's snow. The area offers lessons, the price including a lift ticket, equipment rental and beginner lessons. Monarch Snowcat Tours take adventurous skiiers into the steep backcountry terrain along the Continental Divide.
