'I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country' are the famous last words spoken by Nathan Hale, Connecticut State Hero, before the British hanged him as a spy in 1776.

He was born in Coventry in 1755. The Hale family's farm, built the same year, offers a fascinating glimpse into life during the Revolutionary War era.

Family artifacts such as Nathan's fowling gun and Bible are among the items that may be seen.
