This is the ancestral home of the Parker family, built in 1507, and set in a landscaped park. Features an Elizabethan facade and Regency west wing re-cast by Sir Jeffrey Wyatville. Inside, Browsholme houses a remarkable family collection of portraits, a major collection of oak furniture, arms and armour, stained glass and strange antiquities from stone age axes to a fragment of a Zepplin; a unique accumulation of personal possessions acquired over 5 centuries and 15 generations of the Parker Family who have lived in the Hall since it was built. Open hours vary; call for schedule. Groups by arrangement April-September. Tel: +44 (0)1254 826 719 Fax: +44 (0)1254 826 739
