Cheviot Hills

Search Visit

The Cheviot Hills are a range of undulating, grassy hills extending 33 miles along the border between Roxburghshire, Scotland, and Northumberland, England. The highest summit is Cheviot in Northumberland, six miles southwest of Wooler. In the regio, there are many glens where the many tributaries of the Tweed rise. Remains of ancient forts and castles dot the summits.
