Clearwater Lake

This is an 8-acre public campground situated within Florida's Ocala National Forest, offering 42 sites for RV camping (22-foot limit). Campsites are situated within wooded oak hammock, with some sites overlooking 30-acre Clearwater Lake.

Amenities include showers, beach, dump station, flush toilets. Recreation includes swimming, fishing for largemouth bass, and boating; no motors on lake. The campground is near the 22-mile Paisley Woods Mtn. Bike Trail, the mile-long Clearwater Lake Loop Trail, and the Florida National Scenic Trail. Camping here is year-round; maximum stay during summer season is 14 nights, however, stays of up to 6 mos. possible mid-October to mid-April. Located just 6 miles east of Altoona.
