The Miami Museum of Science's Bird of Prey Center Center is devoted to rehabilitation, release, and research of Florida birds of prey. The museum sponsors hands-on, educational programs for all age groups, using live animals to teach students about Florida's unique and fragile environment. Museum wildlife specialists visit classrooms, community centers, auditoriums and other location to teach kids about Florida wildlife, their impact on the environment and what humans can do to help them. Programs include a selection of native and exotic reptiles such as snakes, lizards, alligators, crocodiles, turtles and tortoises. Call Greta Parks to reserve for up to 75 students. The Center also offers Wildlife Kayaking Excursions, and raptor-adoption programs help support the center's rehabilitation and release efforts.
