Dedicated to the memory of the 6 million Jews who suffered and died under the Nazirule of Germany which lasted from January 30, 1933, until their surrender to Allied Forces on May 7, 1945. The focus of the memorial is a 42-ft-high sculpted bronze arm created by Kenneth Treister; sculptured figures looking for escape climb the arm, which rises from the ground.

Other features include a meditation garden; a memorial wall with black granite panels into which the names of victims have been etched; a series of vignettes show victims helping victims; and the Dome of Contemplation, highlighted by an eternal flame.

Special events are scheduled at the Memorial throughout the year, and guided tours are available by reservation. Open daily; admission to the memorial is free to the public.
