Panacea is located in Wakulla County south of Tallahassee between Carrabelle and Crawfordville along US Highway 98 near Apalachee Bay, Gulf of Mexico and the Apalachicola National Forest.

St.Marks National Wildlife Refuge has many hiking trails, and the lighthouse is a wonderful sight to behold. In the fall of the year, the Monarch butterfly migrates through St.Marks and adds splendid color to that already there.

Wakulla Springs State Park features one of the world's largest and deepest fresh water springs, surrounded by nearly 3,000 acres of pristine forest. Guided glass bottom boat tours offer an up-close perspective of the underwater habitat.

Canoeing, boating, sailing, sail boarding. Rental boats and guides give enthusiasts easy access to bay and offshore fishing. Rails to Trails park draws bikers, walkers, and horseback riders.
