This 'dream home for teddy bears' draws more than 40,000 visitors from around the world yearly to admire the nearly 4,000 bears on exhibit. Displays include antique and limited edition bears, as well as a variety of 'bearaphanalia' such as bear paintings, sculpture, posters, and collectibles. The unique museum highlights work by some of the world's most imaginative bear designers working in fabric, marble, crystal, wood and bronze; many can be purchased at the museum's on-site gift shop.
The museum also sponsors community events throughout the year that include workshops, teas, and bear shows; contact the museum for current schedule. Located two miles west of I75 at the corner of Pine Ridge and Airport roads. Hours and days of operation vary seasonally, but the museum is always closed Tuesdays; call for holiday hours.
