There is much to see and do in the Central East Region of Florida: drive on the hard-packed sandy beaches, attend a race at
Daytona International Speedway, visit a psychic or tarot card reader in Cassadega, or tour the
Kennedy Space Center off of I-95 south of Daytona Beach at Titusville. Also located in this region is the largest planetarium in Florida -- the
Astronaut Memorial Planetarium/Observtry in
Cocoa.
Farther south near Fort Pierce, are areas where Spanish galleons lie buried offshore, and millions of dollars worth of sunken treasures have been found over the years. Adventurers might enjoy deep sea fishing for sailfish in the Atlantic. Other outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, swimming and fishing are available in the numerous Florida State Parks and wildlife refuges.
