Church of Saint-Christophe

Search Tourcoing

Built around the year 1000, rebuilt and then extended in the 19th century, the Church of Saint-Christophe in Tourcoing is now a listed historic monument and has been lavishly restored. Its organs, furniture, pictures and especially its stained-glass windows make it one of the finest Neo-Gothic churches in the North of France. Its 85-meter-high tower houses a museum devoted to bells and a large carillon (62 bells including a great bell weighing 6 tons). From the chamber housing the clock faces, you have a magnificent view over the metropolis. Open the first and third Sunday of the month.
